Meet the Podiatrists

Carol Steele and Claire Crutchley both graduated from Southampton University with first class honours degrees in Podiatry. They are both HCPC registered and jointly took over Winchester Podiatry in 2017. Carol and Claire are both qualified to provide a whole range of podiatric services from routine foot care to advanced clinical skills such as nail surgery, biomechanical assessment, bespoke orthotics, Swift microwave therapy for verrucae/warts and verrucae needling.

Claire Crutchley BSc (Hons) Podiatry

Claire worked for several years as a specialist podiatrist in the NHS and has experience of working in a wide range of areas including: wound care, routine chiropody, diabetes, nail surgery, rheumatology and musculoskeletal clinics. Claire thoroughly enjoys working in private practice as it allows her to provide comprehensive, individualised treatment to patients. She is a keen proponent of continuing professional development regularly attending conferences and further training, most recently a diabetic foot module and additional training in lower limb biomechanics.

Carol has several years’ experience in private practice and has worked at Winchester Podiatry since graduation. Carol thoroughly enjoys the challenges of her job believing that ‘every day is a school day’ she enjoys keeping up to date with the latest developments in podiatry, pursuing particular interests in rheumatology and podiatric dermatology.
